At the movies

We have a large tv at home and enjoy it, BUT, we have been to the cinema twice this week and watching something on the BIG screen is better!

You forget when you haven’t been in a while. The adverts seem to go on for way too long, and you don’t get to see as many trailers as you used to.  It seems a lot of films that are coming out do not seem to interest DH or myself so we have not been.

We saw ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and ‘Old Dogs’. They were very good movies ( I did spot an obvious blooper, I should seriously get a job in their editing deptartment, the mistakes just stand out so clearly to me! ) and you can easily get caught up enjoying the movie.  Unlike at home, where my mind wonders off as I look at cookbooks or something.

DH wanted to go to  ‘Avatar’ but I was not interested.  Maybe he will get his choice next time, or he could go on his own.

Did you know that………………………..Gephyrophobia is the fear of crossing bridges…………………………

Why not Avatar. I can’t wait. Even if the story doesn’t appeal are you not interested in the visuals?
For me Sherlock can be a DVD rental but Avatar has to be 3 D in the theatre.

We saw old dogs as well, it was so funny, I really enjoyed it. We saw Avatar in 3D up on the gold coast you must see it in 3D, a very long movie though I did get a bit restless in the last 30mins and my daughter was telling me to shhhhhh………It was worth the drive up the coast.

Happy New Year! Finally catching up on all my fav blog people! We saw Avatar on NYD and I really enjoyed it. It did take me a little while to get used to the 3D, but then I really got into it. Even jumped a few times and grabbed M’s hand. Very amazing effects, plus I the ‘message’ was right up my alley, so I liked it because of that too. (Also because I wanted to check out Sam Worthington LOL) Only criticism – I agree with Diane there – it was a wee bit long.
